Senior Project Manager - Transportation
What we are looking for :
Aldridge is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic and energetic team in our Southern California region. This role will work collaboratively with the project team to ensure that a quality project is produced safely, on time, and within budget. Projects are focused on electrical scopes for railroads, airports, ports, and highways.
What you’ll do :
Lead and develop a team.
Foster customer relationships.
Facilitate project planning, delivery, and execution.
Drive projects through the entire Aldridge Project Lifecycle.
SAFETY
– Drive the IIF safety culture. Regularly visit your job sites and ensure safety plans are developed and adhered to. MENTORING AND COACHING
– Lead and develop activities of Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers, train them in their roles, and serve as a resource for new recruits. Influence support staff and cross-divisional resources. Develop a successor and a succession plan for growth opportunities. CUSTOMER FOCUS
– Foster a strong partnership with the General Contractor and owner(s). Build long-term relationships and engage field leadership in Agile and other company processes. PROJECT PLANNING
– Facilitate project planning, identify and document roles and responsibilities, and develop a financial plan to ensure contractual requirements are met. Monitor project functions and ensure pre-job planning is completed. Develop and execute a strong financial plan, including accurate project financials, status updates, positive cash flow, and collections. PROJECT EXECUTION
– Drive projects through the entire lifecycle, ensuring company processes are followed. Monitor Agile reporting, manage billing, and rectify underbilling or collection issues. Create change order requests and escalate critical issues to leadership. Who you are : Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management, or related field. Equivalent experience or union trade background considered. 10+ years of relevant work experience. Experience preferred in airport projects. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, and architectural plans related to schedules, costs, and performance. Proficient in estimating, scheduling, budgeting, field supervision, financial reporting, and client relationships. Proficient in Google Suite, Primavera, Contract Management, and Bluebeam. Experience leading teams and mentoring subordinates. Excellent communication and relationship skills at all levels. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. What we offer : The annual base pay for this role ranges from $130,000 to $190,000, depending on experience and other factors. The role may include vehicle allowance and bonuses.
