Forcepoint is seeking a highly experienced Automation Engineer to join our QA team in the Campbell, CA office. In this role, you will focus on testing and automation for the endpoint.
The role requires both manual QA and the ability to automate test cases to reduce manual efforts and increase efficiency.
We are looking for an engineer with a strong System and IT background, capable of scripting using Python, Mac Automator, or other macOS endpoint automation tools, rather than a standard manual QA tester.
The ideal candidate will have an innovative mindset to identify ways to overcome protection mechanisms and simulate user environments involving various products and data transfer methods.
Specific Responsibilities/Functions
Understand customer environments and behaviors to create detailed test plans.
Design detailed test plans for new product features.
Create test cases and scenarios.
Interpret product/module requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
Write automation scripts for new features in Python or PowerShell.
Review product documentation and provide feedback.
Investigate new products and versions (e.g., Dropbox, WeChat, Syncplicity) to identify new capabilities that DLP should protect.
Learn about new OS features and limitations, such as macOS Big Sur, to understand potential data theft vectors.
Work efficiently within tight schedules to meet customer needs.
Be available to work from the Campbell site up to four times a week as needed.
Requirements
At least 5+ years of QA Automation experience.
Perl scripting experience is mandatory.
Experience with automated testing in VMWare virtual environments.
Scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or similar.
Background in security technologies and products.
Experience with one or more of the following: AD, security servers, Azure Information Protection, VMWare Horizon.
Forcepoint offers a competitive salary range of $116,100 to $134,500, determined by various factors including experience and location. Additional benefits may include bonuses, paid time off, and region-specific perks.
