Become a trusted advisor to Senior and Executive Leaders on categories that fall under Professional Services, including Human Resources, Media, Legal, Finance, Treasury, Marketing, Consulting, and others. Embed in meetings and reviews as part of the team representing Indirect Procurement, covering various departments like Legal and Finance. Develop expertise in category trends, suppliers, pricing models, and processes. Create and deliver annual category plans aligned with business objectives and support senior leadership. Learn organizational processes, procurement tools, and category-specific terminology quickly. Participate in procurement meetings, initiatives, and process improvements; lead special projects for the team. Position Responsibilities
Align global category strategies with business plans and budgets, supporting outcomes with data and insights. Utilize market knowledge to develop supplier solutions and manage legal and contractual processes. Formulate and execute a global category strategy tailored to regional needs and stakeholder requirements. Understand negotiation levers and potential savings in professional services categories. Supplier Relationship Management
Manage supplier selection, performance, and relationships to optimize costs and partnerships. Category Management Best Practices
Continuously develop procurement knowledge through training and research. Refine strategies to meet evolving business needs and foster innovation. Organizational Relationships
Build relationships across functions such as HR, Legal, Finance, and external suppliers. Collaborate within the procurement team, learning tools like Ariba, SAP, Power BI, and SharePoint. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred. 5-8 years of professional services procurement experience; 10+ years preferred. Experience in pharma industry is a plus but not required. Technical Skills
Category management expertise in professional services. Experience with annual planning, stakeholder engagement, and supplier reviews. Strong relationship management and market research skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Physical Position Requirements
Hybrid work model, 2-3 days on-site in Parsippany, NJ. Domestic and international travel up to 10%. Ability to work with global teams across time zones. Compensation & Benefits Base Pay Range: $126,000 - $181,000 (NJ, CA, Remote in NY, WA) or $111,000 - $160,000 (Colorado).
