TSMC
Senior Agent AI Engineer
TSMC Arizona offers an opportunity to work at the most advanced semiconductor fabrication plant in the United States. The first fab will operate its leading-edge N4 process technology, starting production in the first half of 2025. The second fab will utilize N3 and N2 process technologies, becoming operational in 2028. The third fab aims to manufacture chips using 2nm or more advanced technology by the end of the decade. America's leading tech companies rely on TSMC Arizona for the next generations of chips powering the digital future.
As a Senior Agent AI Engineer, you will design and build autonomous agents capable of reasoning, decision-making, and interacting with external systems (APIs, databases, external tools). You will develop systems enabling agents to autonomously carry out tasks, plan actions, and collaborate with other agents, ensuring safe, reliable, and ethical behavior. You will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to extend language models (LLMs) through integration with APIs, tools, and external software environments. Your focus will be on enabling agents to act independently, collaborate in multi-agent systems, and execute tasks responsibly.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and implement autonomous agent systems focusing on behavior modeling, task execution, and collaboration.
Integrate language models with tools, APIs, and software environments to enhance agent capabilities, such as database interaction and web browsing.
Develop agent memory systems, task tracking, and goal-directed behaviors for autonomous operation in dynamic settings.
Implement multi-agent systems for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective problem-solving.
Ensure agents' actions adhere to ethical and safety standards, minimizing risks.
Test and evaluate agents in real-world scenarios, iterating based on feedback and performance metrics.
Research emerging multi-agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, ReAct) to improve efficiency and capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience :
Education :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field.
Experience :
5+ years developing autonomous systems or intelligent agents, especially in AI or machine learning contexts.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency with agent architectures (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, ReAct) and techniques like task planning, tool use, and coordination.
Strong Python programming skills and experience with AI frameworks for agent development.
Experience with multi-agent systems, including communication, task distribution, and collaboration.
Deep understanding of LLMs and their integration with external APIs and systems.
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of AI safety and ethics, including bias prevention in autonomous systems.
Experience with reinforcement learning and decision-making frameworks.
Familiarity with cognitive architectures or symbolic reasoning for agents.
Work Environment :
Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona facility.
