Job Description
Primary Purpose
The Welding Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities and processes meet the required standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting welds, reviewing welding procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications. Review and interpret welding procedures, specifications, and blueprints. Monitor welding processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing. Document and report any welding defects or non-conformities. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and welding personnel to resolve welding issues. Ensure all welding equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Stay updated with the latest welding techniques, standards, and regulations. Conduct training sessions for welding personnel on best practices and safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Education
Bachelor's Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Required

3 Quality inspection, construction projects. Required
Skills And Abilities
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications. Advance Knowledge of various welding processes and techniques. Advance Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. Advance Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills. Advance Good communication and interpersonal skills Advance Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Advance Commitment to safety and quality standards. Advance Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, noise, and dust. Advance Capable of standing, walking, and climbing for extended periods. Advance Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials. Advance Seniority level
