Job Description
The Private Wealth Strategist duties include:
Provide cash flow analysis, income tax planning, asset protection, charitable planning and estate and wealth transfer strategieswith a focus on pre-liquidity event planning for business owners and corporate executives going through an exit or sale. Knowledge and proficiency in QSBS tax planning, and tax treatment, analysis of executive compensation plans including monetization strategies for stock option and restricted stock holdings and planning for non-U.S. citizens. Develop, consult on and implement tax, estate and financial plans for firm colleagues, financial advisors and clients. Collaborate with financial advisors and internal partners and assist with overall client discovery process to assess client’s goals, objectives and current situation to determine the most appropriate planning solutions. Attend meetings in person or virtually with FAs, internal partners and management to deepen existing client relationships and support new business efforts in relevant markets. Focus on interacting with financial advisors and investment banking colleaguesontheir business owner corporate executive and corporate executive clients. Work with internal and external partners to promote estate, tax and financial planning capabilities of the Private Wealth Management group to build awareness and expand business footprint. Represent Jefferies Wealth Management at industry-wide events, write and publish subject and solution-specific Wealth Planning whitepapers and present on estate, tax and financial planning topics at both internal and external meetings or conferences to advisors, clients or centers-of- influence. Partner with Head of Planning to train and educate financial advisorson wealth planning strategies and solutions.
Experience/Skills
10+years comprehensive planning experience working with U/HNW clients and families. Experience with and prior focus on planning for business owners and senior management level corporate executives JD or CPA; LLM designation preferred Professional network, e.g. law firm, accounting firm, trust company and local market knowledge Life Insurance Licensed (or commitment to get within 6 months) Ability to travel up to 30% of the time Familiarity with financial planning tools, such as eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, etc. Proficiency with common/core MS applications such as Excel and PowerPoint to conduct analysis and build client-ready deliverables for presentation
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $200,000 - $250,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
