Claims Manager
focused on
energy-related liability claims . This is a hybrid role available in several major markets, offering the chance to lead high-exposure, complex commercial claims across the energy sector. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise and a strategic, solutions-oriented approach to litigation and claims resolution. Compensation: Base salary range:
$120,000 – $150,000 , plus
bonus eligibility, full benefits package, and 401(k) . Key Responsibilities: Direct oversight of
primary and excess energy liability claims , including complex commercial disputes and multi-jurisdictional matters. Conduct
coverage analysis , evaluate liability exposure, assess defenses, and set reserves promptly. Attend and manage mediations, settlement conferences, and trials as needed. Perform
file audits
through claim systems and in-person visits to ensure best practices and quality standards. Serve as a key liaison to underwriting, actuarial, and reinsurance teams by providing timely and accurate claim updates. Qualifications: 8–10 years
of experience managing or overseeing complex
energy-related claims , including experience with
construction, NY Labor Law, and large-scale commercial losses . Proven success handling and negotiating
litigated claims
and
coverage disputes . Strong knowledge of policy interpretation, legal strategy, and claims resolution. Excellent communication and documentation skills; highly organized and detail-oriented. Customer-centric mindset with a
team-oriented
and proactive approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; adjuster licensing across jurisdictions preferred or must be obtained. Travel required based on caseload and business needs.
