Senior Corporate Counsel
to join our in-house legal team. This role will split responsibilities between managing
Washington State eviction matters (~ 50%)
and providing
corporate legal support (~ 50%)
in areas such as contract review, employment documentation, acquisitions, and financing transactions. The ideal candidate has
5–6 years of legal experience , including
4 years in a law firm setting
and
1–2 years of in-house or private business law experience . This is a high-impact position for someone who enjoys working closely with executive leadership and contributing directly to operational and strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities Eviction & Landlord-Tenant (50%) Lead all unlawful detainer (eviction) matters in Washington State, from notice through court resolution. Advise property management teams on compliance with state and local housing laws. Draft and file eviction documents; represent the company in court or coordinate with outside counsel as needed. Standardize and maintain internal processes for eviction case handling and documentation. Corporate Legal Work (50%) Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and employment-related documents. Support real estate acquisitions, including review of purchase agreements, title, diligence materials, and closing documentation. Assist in the review and interpretation of loan and financing documents. Provide legal advice on corporate governance, operational risk, and compliance matters. Collaborate with the executive team to align legal strategies with business objectives and priorities. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in
Washington State . 5–6 years of total legal experience , including:
4 years at a law firm , and 1–2 years of in-house counsel or direct business law experience , preferably in real estate, property management, or related sectors.
Demonstrated experience with
Washington State landlord-tenant law
and unlawful detainer litigation. Strong legal drafting and analytical skills, particularly with contracts and business transactions. Ability to manage competing deadlines and provide practical, business-focused legal advice. Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive and collaborative approach. Interest in growing with the business and being a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
