Workday Advanced Compensation Developer & Technical Project Manager (TPM)
Please note this role is based in Seattle and follows our flexible work model, requiring a minimum of three in-office days per week.

As a Workday Advanced Compensation Developer & Technical Project Manager (TPM), you will be at the heart of our annual compensation cycle, designing smart, scalable solutions that power merit, bonus, and stock programs across the globe. You will collaborate with Compensation and People teams to turn strategy into seamless Workday configurations, eligibility rules, business processes, calculated fields, and more. However, that is just half the story. You will also lead the charge as a Technical Project Manager, working with cross-functional teams, managing timelines, resolving issues, and delivering executive-level updates. From kickoff to closure, you will ensure every piece of the compensation puzzle fits perfectly. In this role, you will: Workday Advanced Compensation Development: Design and present technical solutions to the compensation team to support strategic decision-making. Design, configure, and maintain Advanced Compensation plans in Workday, including merit, bonus, and stock components. Develop and maintain compensation eligibility rules, business processes, condition rules, and calculated fields. Collaborate with People Team and Compensation teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions. Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and support during compensation cycles. Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Technical Project Management (TPM): Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for the annual Advanced Compensation cycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate cross-functional teams including People Org, Compensation, and external vendors. Facilitate regular status meetings, risk assessments, and issue resolution. Provide executive-level reporting and updates on project progress and outcomes. Experience and qualifications: Required: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Advanced Compensation. Proven experience managing complex HRIS or compensation-related projects. Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Core Compensation, and Business Process Framework. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy. Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Preferred: Workday Pro or Workday Certification in Advanced Compensation. Experience with Workday EIBs, calculated fields, and custom reports. PMP, Scrum, or Agile certification is a plus. The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
