The role involves working on a range of SaaS products on the AWS platform that impact energy efficiency, renewable energy, demand response, and conservation. Lead AWS DevOps Engineer

will develop, maintain, and manage AWS infrastructure, focusing on cloud services and automation to optimize SaaS solutions for functionality, performance, and cost. Responsibilities include deploying and integrating new cloud services, CI/CD automation, and pipeline management. As part of the technology team, you will transform cloud capabilities across SaaS products, leveraging emerging technologies and designing platforms for optimal delivery. We focus on energy efficiency and expanding clean energy solutions to help utilities navigate complex challenges such as load flexibility, electrification, and carbon reduction. Responsibilities include: Designing and evolving cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions. Establishing standards for infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational processes. Adopting modern practices like containerization, serverless computing, and Infrastructure as Code. Leading DevOps tooling, automation, and scalability initiatives. Building secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments. Developing automated CI/CD pipelines for deployment and testing. Implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging for proactive issue detection. Optimizing system performance, cost, and reliability. Troubleshooting infrastructure and deployment issues in real-time. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 8+ years of hands-on DevOps experience with AWS. Experience leading or mentoring DevOps teams. Deep expertise in AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, Beanstalk, CloudFront, Route 53, Glacier, Lambda, EventBridge. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git. Linux administration and scripting skills in Bash and Python. Knowledge of security and compliance standards like ITIL, NIST, SOC2. Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, CloudWatch, log analysis. Familiarity with messaging systems like SQS, SNS, RabbitMQ, SES. Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS). Experience designing scalable infrastructure and architectures. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Nice to Have: Experience with AWS Transfer Family.
