Washington, DC 20003 (Onsite) 6 Months Contract Position Responsibilities : Experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, security, or operations. Experience with multiple public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Experience relocating ERP applications to a cloud-native environment. Ensure that standards set by Data, Security, Infrastructure, Platform, and other architecture domains are followed when designing and architecting cloud solutions. Demonstrate deep subject matter leadership in cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multitenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability). Manage the development and implementation of cloud strategy, develop the architecture governance framework, and define architecture foundations. Convey technical and functional concepts effectively for specific technical specialties. Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high-quality services/products. Establish best practices and standards for product use. Support and design industry-specific technologies requiring system or network integration. Interact with executive-level business users or technical experts. Function as a niche technical SME. Lead experience with technical expertise across large, complex system implementations. Define and enforce Cloud architecture best practices: availability, redundancy, performance, Disaster Recovery, data, and integration patterns. Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: IaaS, PaaS, services, applications, network, security. Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and industry requirements. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering system capacity and limitations, operation time, and desired results. Provide consultation on complex projects, serving as a top-level contributor/specialist in system analysis, considering business implications of technology applications. Minimum Education / Certification Requirements : Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience; or current Azure and AWS Architect Certifications SKILL MATRIX : Cloud DevOps experience: 5+ years Broad technology experience across applications development, relational or NoSQL databases, DevOps, containers, CI/CD: 5+ years Minimum of 8 years in designing and implementing cloud workloads in Azure, AWS, or GCP Experience with cloud networking and security, including virtual networks, security groups, firewalls: 8+ years Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience: 8+ years 8-10 years in architecture domains (business, solutions, application) 8+ years of experience in complex technical documentation 8+ years managing large operational multi-tenant cloud environments Minimum 3 years of microservice architecture experience Minimum 3 years designing and implementing cloud-native workloads Experience with application lifecycle tools (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.): 8+ years Certified AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certified Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Professional
