HPC Storage Engineer – Hybrid, Dallas - W2 Contract only An experienced HPC Storage Engineer is required to support large-scale, high-performance storage initiatives. This is a high-impact role at the core of a global compute platform, offering exposure to cutting-edge storage technologies and the scale to push their capabilities to the limit. You’ll join a specialist engineering team managing and scaling multi-hundred-petabyte storage systems. Designing, deploying, and optimising storage architectures to meet the demands of compute-intensive research pipelines. Beyond day-to-day operations, the role also includes: Collaborating with Researchers, Software Engineers, and Infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and tune workflows Engaging with global colleagues and vendor partners (Dell, Vast Data, HPE, Rubrik) to deliver supportable, future-proof solutions Driving performance improvements across high-throughput and low-latency storage environments Contributing to automation, monitoring, and configuration management processes to improve reliability and efficiency The requirements: Proven experience deploying and managing large-scale HPC or clustered filesystems Strong knowledge of storage technologies across file, block, and object systems Hands-on experience with scale-out storage solutions such as Vast Data and Isilon/PowerScale Proficiency in Python scripting and/or DevOps tooling for operational automation Experience using Jira or similar ticketing systems in a production environment Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach Passion for infrastructure engineering, hardware, and performance optimisation If interested, please apply accordingly for CV review.
