The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Designer to lead our garment construction, fit, and patternmaking.
What You’ll Do
Lead fit sessions, analyze results, and update patterns, specs, construction, and grading accordingly. Own the creation, modification, and maintenance of digital patterns in Optitex, ensuring ideal fit and design intent. Develop and maintain tech packs, receiving apparel designs and clearly outlining construction and garment measurements. Collaborate with Design on translating sketches and concepts into production-ready patterns and specs, ensuring the design intent is achieved. Partner with factories to troubleshoot fit, construction, and quality issues. Maintain consistent grading rules and fit standards across all categories. Mentor junior team members on technical processes and best practices.
What You Bring
5+ years of technical design experience, ideally in performance or outdoor apparel. Proficiency in Optitex patternmaking. Deep understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading for knits and wovens. Strong technical communication skills for working with overseas factories. Excellent organization, problem-solving, and time-management abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, small-team environment. Bonus for experience in 3d patternmaking, like CLO
