We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in Energy Storage Systems (ESS) to expand our market presence in critical safety passive fire protection and cell compression pad solutions for ESS applications. As the Global Business Development Leader for ESS, you will contribute to our long-term growth strategy and have opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.
The role involves market development and sales management for Alkegen's global ESS product lines, providing technical sales support, and identifying new opportunities to strengthen our leadership in the lithium-ion battery market, especially in passive fire, thermal, and electrical protections for ESS applications.
Responsibilities :
Prospect new business, identify customer growth opportunities, and analyze markets for stationary applications focusing on ESS in North America, Europe, India, Japan, and South Korea.
Involve partially in the China market, working with the local Alkegen subsidiary.
Determine regulatory requirements, market size, competitive landscape, and Alkegen's market competitiveness.
Develop and model market pricing and program implementation strategies.
Create educational experiences for customers to foster growth.
Develop strategic plans aligned with corporate goals.
Stay informed about industry, customer, and territory trends related to energy storage systems using lithium-ion or lithium metal batteries.
Utilize tools and data to make informed decisions within your territory.
Monitor market conditions and develop strategic countermeasures.
Identify customer gaps, concerns, and goals requiring comprehensive Alkegen solutions.
Collaborate closely with customer service, sales, engineering, and production teams.
Participate in industry trade shows and conferences.
Manage your business through a hybrid model of travel and remote work, with travel up to 50% based on business needs and ROI.
Qualifications / Experience :
University Degree, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years in the Energy Storage System industry or related growth-oriented business.
Strong sales, technical, and business skills to analyze markets and requirements.
Experience selling to or understanding markets like energy storage, batteries, or fire protection.
Exposure to product development, production, and delivery processes.
Proven business development skills, negotiation abilities, and team collaboration.
Attention to detail in sales reporting, analytics, and market analysis.
Creative problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset.
Effective communication and influencing skills.
Proficiency with MS Office tools; experience with social selling, digital promotion, presentations, and webinars is a plus.
Compensation :
Annual salary up to $149,300, with variation based on experience and other factors.
