Director of Construction

you must have: At least 10 years of successful industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years handling accounts from $10 million to over $250 million+ A bachelor's degree in an industry-related field Ability to prioritize effectively, listen actively, value team input, and develop talent within construction operations Strong understanding of the local construction market and negotiation skills for contracts Proven ability to manage teams profitably and lead staff development Prompt issue resolution skills for win-win outcomes Key responsibilities include: Developing client relationships and building a network of contacts Managing customer relationships and making effective sales presentations Negotiating construction contracts effectively Achieving customer satisfaction and project profitability Managing accounts receivable and warranty issues Overseeing administrative responsibilities and team development Implementing corporate goals and initiatives Applying advanced knowledge of construction methods, estimating, scheduling, and cost control Delegating work appropriately and balancing responsibilities Leading a team of up to two Team Leaders, eight Project Managers, and three Project Assistants Preferred qualifications: Four-year college degree in construction management or engineering Minimum 10 years of project management experience with contract values from $10 million to over $100 million+ Proven success in managing project teams profitably Established relationships within the Dallas/Ft.
