About the role Job title: Senior Broadcast Engineer A brief summary The Senior Broadcast Engineer supports our live studio productions from Riot Games’ Remote Broadcast Center in Seattle. Responsibilities include executing operations and support of traditional and IP/2110 broadcast tools to meet production needs. Expertise in baseband routing, IP and SMPTE 2110 workflows, NDI workflows, Cisco Meraki programming, intercom, audio consoles, Dante networks, Switchers, EVS, and graphic systems is crucial for delivering high-quality output for our internal teams and customers. Our workflows leverage hardware infrastructure and software-defined tools to push the boundaries of Esports broadcasting. What you’ll be responsible for Providing studio support for in-studio and remote productions. Manipulating audio and video signals with Evertz Routers using broadcast instruments and measurement tools. Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing broadcast hardware, systems, and servers. Supporting software-defined broadcast tools, IP protocols, and NDI networks. Working varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This role is for you if Required Qualifications 6+ years of broadcast experience and/or an advanced degree. Experience in Esports broadcasts. Extensive knowledge of switchers, audio consoles, video routers, NDI workflows, EVS systems, intercom systems, Cisco networks, IP protocols, and transmission systems. Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex broadcast systems. Strong understanding of IP networks and 2110 workflows. Strong understanding of NDI system and workflows. Ability to provide constructive feedback and follow engineering best practices. Physical ability to handle equipment, including lifting up to 20 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds. Desired Qualifications CCNA level or equivalent experience. Cross-platform fluency with Linux, Mac, and Windows systems. Experience with Dante audio networks, SMPTE 2110, streaming, OTT technologies, and protocols. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Experience supporting large broadcast systems and designing scalable architectures. Management Responsibilities Be the first point of contact for your team for queries, escalations, and feedback. Hold regular meetings to align on topics, provide feedback, and support team development. Review workload for efficiency and balance. Support onboarding and development of team members. Manage performance and address issues proactively. Communicate key messages and ensure team compliance with policies and training.
