This Technical Planning Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the Technical Planning, Programme, Developing Methodologies for TECHNICAL SUBMISSION FOR TENDERS. The role requires a DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGIES, EFFICIENT PLANNING, and the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines to enhance tender proposals.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Technical Review & Tender Analysis Analyze tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and contract conditions. Evaluate design feasibility and buildability scores, identifying risks and constructability challenges. Propose optimized, cost-effective construction methodologies to enhance bid competitiveness. 2. Cross-Functional Collaboration Liaise with Quantity Surveyors, consultants, and design teams to align on technical strategy. Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., engineering, planning, procurement) to optimize site logistics and sequencing. Interface with subcontractors and suppliers to explore value engineering and alternative methodologies. 3. Feasibility & Site Assessments Conduct technical feasibility studies and constructability assessments. Attend site showrounds to identify constraints and develop efficient site planning strategies. 4. Risk Identification & Mitigation Identify potential technical risks and propose mitigation plans. Ensure all risks and solutions are clearly communicated within the tender team. 5. Method Statements & Technical Proposals Prepare method statements outlining construction methodology and execution plans. Develop high-quality technical submissions that align with project specifications and safety standards. Collaborate with the BIM team to visualize construction methods through 3D/4D models. 6. Construction Planning & Tender Programming Develop detailed construction programs covering sequencing, resource planning, and interdisciplinary coordination. Integrate productivity-driven planning to enhance project efficiency and avoid delays. Incorporate site access constraints, logistics, and manpower/equipment allocation into planning. 7. Tender Coordination & Presentation Lead internal tender briefings and communicate project scope, challenges, and strategies. Present construction sequencing, site logistics, and risk mitigation plans to stakeholders. Ensure the entire tender team is aligned with the technical approach. 8. Site Logistics & Methodology Optimization Plan site layouts, access routes, storage zones, and traffic flow for optimal execution. Apply industry best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance constructability. 9. BIM & Digital Integration Partner with the BIM team to develop visual construction sequences and planning models. Leverage digital construction tools to support data-driven decision-making in tender preparation. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in tender planning, construction methodology, or technical proposal development. Familiarity with BIM, digital construction tools, and project planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
