Job Description SUMMARY Bering Dynamic Solutions, LLC, a company within the BSNC family, is currently seeking a qualified Windows Administration / Helpdesk Support for a contract in Seattle, WA. This contract supports an agency operating approximately 285 desktop/laptops, a mix of 90 physical and virtual Linux servers (development, testing, production), 25 physical and virtual Windows servers, storage devices, and network devices. The agency manages a Linux server farm in AWS hosting over 60 scientific, oceanographic, and geospatial applications, providing real-time data for storm warnings and marine navigation. Additionally, a real-time COOP infrastructure is maintained in AWS, capable of providing three days of real-time data without a database, with potential for hot or warm site deployment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate will operate desktops, laptops, field laptops, Windows servers, storage devices, and network devices. Build, deploy, backup, restore, and maintain infrastructure components including Windows laptops/desktops/servers, printers, etc. Provide end-user support via phone, email, and on-site, documenting findings via ticketing software. Assist CO-OPS personnel with IT-related issues affecting system performance and integrity. Manage computer access, resolve user issues, and monitor system utilization. Handle requests entered into the tracking system, including software, mobile devices, PCs, printers, network cabling, and new technologies. Install and test software, ensuring updates meet FISMA requirements. Track inventory and notify government of property movements. Follow government policies for technology deployment, removal, and data wiping. Assist with technology refresh and smartphone account provisioning. Provide asset management support and maintain server performance and security compliance. Conduct outage analysis, implement root cause corrective actions, and schedule data backups. Analyze system logs and performance reports for operational improvements. Enforce security controls to protect critical assets. Support field laptops and workstations used for scientific and engineering applications. Manage Google accounts, including Mail, Voice, and Meeting Kit. Troubleshoot and maintain smartphones and iPads, coordinating with service providers and property custodians. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION Minimum of 2 years of IT help desk experience. Experience building, deploying, backing up, restoring, and maintaining infrastructure components including Windows devices and printers. Ability to provide multi-tiered end-user support.
