SUMMARY
The Microsoft Business Dynamics Central Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the Beltmann Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (MSBC) environments. The MSBC Administrator will be primarily responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. This role involves analyzing business requirements, designing solutions, and supporting the implementation of processes within Business Central to improve operational efficiency and drive business results. The MSBC administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the Business Central ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system within an organization. Their main role is to ensure that the system is running smoothly, securely, and effectively supports the business functions.
You will be responsible for understanding the business processes surrounding the ERP and other related integrations and propose effective solutions in the form of process changes and/or leveraging existing applications/tools. The role will provide hands-on expertise for the ERP Solution and will lead solutions design, analysis, delivery and support. Translating business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives; change management; and data governance will be a dominant part of the role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead process design, analysis, development/configuration and testing for enhancements, optimizations, automations and new functionality as it relates to ERP (Business Central) and integrated applications. Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and document all solution architecture design and relevant analysis work. Propose and lead problem solving events when required and develop current state and future state process maps with time measurements for efficiency savings. Develop, maintain, and adhere to change management process with visibility to IT team and ERP stakeholders / cross-functional leads. Support Business Central reporting functions, including utilizing FXLogic, Power BI, and other reporting platforms. Collaborates with subject matter experts and peers to develop data stewardship and governance best practices. Ensure that applications are fully integrated with other systems and platforms, and troubleshoot any issues related to system functionality or user experience. Develop RCA (Root Cause Analysis) document when the business experiences over 30 minutes of downtime due to ERP issues. Accountable for the proper functioning of the applications and carrying out necessary upgrades. Collaborate with cross-functional team and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support issues as they relate to functionality and interoperability of the above-mentioned applications & integrations. Oversee regular test and production environment refreshes and other data refresh activities. Work with end users to provide best practices and tips on ERP usage including training, when required. Configure and manage MSBC settings (Company information, financial periods, users, etc.) Maintain and manage environments (production, sandbox, testing companies) Perform regular updates and ensure compliance with Microsoft release cycles User Management
Create and manage user accounts Assign roles and permissions (using permission sets) Monitor and troubleshoot user access issues Data Management
Import and export data as required or by using APIs Perform data backups Ensure data integrity and support data cleanup/archive efforts Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Monitor system performance and health Identify and resolve system issues, errors, or bugs Work with Microsoft and vendor support partners for escalation Integration & Customization
Manage integration with other systems (e.g., Power BI, MS 365, and custom applications.) Collaborate with developers on application updates and customizations Security & Compliance
Enforce security best practices Set up and monitor security roles and data access Ensure system compliance with company policies and procedures Reporting & Analytics Support
Assist with setting up and maintaining financial and operations reports Support Power BI integration for dashboards and insights Training and Support
Provide user training, guidance, and documentation Act as first-line support for MSBC-related queries Work with external consultants or partners when needed. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, a Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Administrator typically include a combination of education, technical skills, and experience:
Proficiency in various technical areas, including:
Familiarity with AL (the programming language for Business Central extensions). Knowledge in financial and operation business processes Understanding of Microsoft licensing and Microsoft 365 Administration Security protocols and best practices A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise and find effective solutions. Proven experience in providing ERP support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in accounting, finance, or information technology or a related field; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years' experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Proficiency in Business Central 365 modules, including finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, and reporting Knowledge of SQL, power BI, FXLogic, or other data analytics tools Deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics BC reporting and data structures. Strong stakeholder management and documentation skills. Background in the trucking and logistics industry, preferred.
