Procedural Technician
Performs the function of a procedural technician working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with patient care rooming patients and with procedures. Works under the supervision of the RN in Pre & Post Op Endo and OR. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served over the life span. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age specific needs as it relates to the pavilion tech role. Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the departments policies and procedures. May have access to areas where medications are stored and/or prepared for purposes of fulfilling job duties. Requirements: High School or Equivalent college courses/coursework preferred. BLS certification required. Certified Nursing Assistant in Virginia or enrolled nursing student with clinical experience or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred. At least 1-2 years of general work experience.
