Work You’ll Do
Oversee the day-to-day client service relationships and serve as the gateway to a variety of specialized Deloitte Tax services that help improve compliance with taxing entities while maintaining each client's overall tax risk profile. Apply an in-depth understanding of Federal Tax compliance and planning and work closely with clients to understand each organization's goals and strategies and how industry and economic trends affect the business. Oversee tax consulting services to effectively diagnose, solve, develop and implement clients' tax needs. Oversee complex tax research projects for clients in investment management industry. Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques. Perform tax-planning responsibilities for our corporate and individual clients. Supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Tax Consultants, Tax Seniors and Tax Managers. Responsible for keeping up-to-date on current tax practices and technical issues, analyzing the client's business and tax systems, taking responsibility for clearing open items relating to assigned areas, and meeting client deadlines. Oversee the preparation of tax work papers and tax returns including extensions, estimates, and tax provisions.
Requirements
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six (6) years of experience as a Tax Senior Manager or related occupation gaining experience providing tax research or preparing and reviewing client work papers and tax returns.
Experience must include six (6) years of:
Preparing federal and state income tax returns for partnerships and corporations, including private equity clients;
Utilizing tax software, including ONESOURCE and GoSystem, to prepare federal, state, local tax returns and calculate estimated tax and process filings;
Utilizing tax research tools, including BNA, CCH, and RIA Checkpoint, to provide tax compliance and consulting services to various clients;
Preparing quarterly estimated tax payments for partnerships, and preparing schedules for federal and state income tax returns;
Reviewing client-prepared equity allocations, preparing book-to-tax reconciliation, and creating taxable income allocations;
Preparing K-1 footnotes to disclose additional information on foreign reporting and special treatments of items reported;
Reviewing federal and state tax compliance and consulting projects for various private equity funds and complex fund of funds structure;
Performing complex tax allocations, carry and waterfall calculations, partnership basis adjustments, and federal and state withholding requirements for flow-through entities;
Performing inside and outside basis computations, section 704(c) and section 743(b) computations, section 743(b) calculations and process partner allocations in Schedule K-1 and K-3, including waterfall calculations; and
Interacting directly with senior management of the team and clients to discuss issue resolution and continuity, and assisting with supervising the full lifecycle of engagements, including staffing, budgeting, and closing out projects.
Less than 10% domestic travel required.

Annual Salary: $153,860.00 - $285,740.00
