We have a full-time staff and a Board of Directors which guides the organization to fulfill its vision and mission as a community-based organization. Position Purpose and Profile Summary The Destination Marketing Associate will be responsible for a multitude of projects in the functional areas of Visit Quad Cities (VQC) and its subsidiary organizations such as Sports QC Powered By Visit Quad Cities. The ideal candidate will possess integrity, strong leadership attributes, a potential interest in a career path in the destination marketing industry, communication capabilities, creativity, and initiative. Position Role and Accountability Description Provide support to the Brand Acceleration & Engagement department. Graphic design projects. Development of regular communication emails to partners and stakeholders. Assistance with social media platforms, as available. Write blog content for Visit Quad Cities blog platform. Provide support for product and program innovations such as the John Deere Trail, Public Art Trail, Coffee Trail, QC Ale Trail, Restaurant Week, Museum Month, etc. Assist department with VQC owned and/or recruited event projects. Assist with owned media products such as the QC, That’s Where podcast, destination guide, etc. Support the department in producing video and written content for various online platforms. Learn the organization’s customer relationship management (Simpleview CMS) software platform. Responsible for participating in organizational team and department meetings, as necessary. Other projects and responsibilities, as assigned by department staff. Experience and Background Required Strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge and/or willingness to learn the Quad Cities regional destination. Solid communication skills, both verbal and written. Graphic design abilities including experience with Canva and the Adobe Suite – particularly Photoshop and Premiere. Working knowledge of Digital Asset Management systems, such as SnapSea. Ability to learn SnapSea our destination asset management system. Proficiency with PCs and software such as: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Video content and photography skills a plus.
