Quality Assurance Engineer

As a QA engineer on the Financial Institutions team, you will work on financial performance management software that allows financial institutions to plan and forecast for greater efficiency and effectiveness in their operations. You will become an expert in Stratas software and acquire a deep understanding of the technology driving the systems. In addition, you will collaborate with our development and consulting teams to ensure that the product is aligned with client needs and meets Stratas high quality of standards. To be successful in this role you must be passionate about quality assurance, financial planning and analysis, and like working in an agile environment. Opportunities include working on an international agile team, using knowledge of financial planning and analysis and quality assurance methodology to create and execute test cases, working closely with product management to refine requirements and acceptance criteria, identifying, troubleshooting, documenting, and tracking defects found during testing, performing thorough regression testing on software changes, staying up to date on quality assurance, financial planning and analysis, agile process, and IT advancements, and leveraging AI to create test scripts and test data. Requirements include 1-2 years of professional experience as a financial analyst at a bank or credit union or equivalent experience, experience with annual budget process, financial analysis, forecasting, or profitability analytics, experience with financial modeling in Excel, data analysis, data structures and databases, leveraging AI in financial analysis, ability to write clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, strong self-motivation, ability to work effectively with limited guidance, a drive to learn quickly and adapt, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bonus skills include experience with software quality assurance methodology and testing of web applications, programming experience, experience with SQL, experience with agile software methodologies like SAFe or Scrum, strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, and experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps. The role is based in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO with a hybrid work environment requiring on-campus presence two days per week. Seniority level
