Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Sr. Innovation Engineer to lead the application of the Amazon Robotics (AR) System and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) automation into our European Delivery Station Network. The successful candidate will be a member of the European Amazon Logistics Central Engineering team and will be responsible for defining, testing, validating, and implementing various Robotics and Automation systems in the Delivery Stations network in the EU region. This role requires experienced and entrepreneurial-minded engineers with robotics, engineering, planning, and analytical skills. The individual will own robotics and automation implementation projects end-to-end and partner with Process Engineering teams, Operations leaders, Facilities, and Engineering teams to operate advanced robotics technology across Amazon's last mile network. Key job responsibilities

Work closely with the AR Product teams and WW Engineering to drive customer (AMZL) requirements for implementing AR systems in the EU Delivery Stations network. Identify process paths to automate based on labor, cost, safety, performance, etc., working with Process Engineering and Operations partners. Author business cases to introduce automation to improve performance in the Delivery Stations network in the EU. Define pilot criteria and success metrics to validate proof of concept and performance targets. Lead AR and MHE automation pilots in the EU by measuring success criteria for productivity, quality, and safety. Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical documentation such as flow diagrams, equipment layouts, installation details, schedules, and budgets. Support lessons learned programs for new robotics and automation systems to improve next-generation designs. Work with design and controls teams to detail integration plans for MHE automation. Partner with the simulation team to validate new ideas and concepts for automation. Participate in core teams with AR and WW Engineering to improve processes and layouts based on field data. Represent AMZL-EU in cross-functional teams working on future technologies like IoT, robotics, and automation. Assist in selecting critical sites for automation based on set criteria. Support commissioning of new AR and MHE automation installations. Help develop and implement service and maintenance concepts for field teams. A day in the life

You will ideate and bring to life new technologies for AMZL, working with vendors, field teams, and innovation centers. Your activities may include building prototypes, validating concepts through simulation and data, and demonstrating the benefits of new technologies. You will write business cases and collaborate with stakeholders to pilot new solutions, deepening your understanding of how technology impacts AMZL processes and associates. About the team
