Associate-level Mechanical Engineer
with a strong background in HVAC systems design and project leadership, particularly in
data center environments . This is a key role for someone who excels in both technical design and project management, with the ability to guide internal teams and engage confidently with clients throughout the project lifecycle. While the primary focus will be mission critical facilities, you'll also contribute to a range of high-performance commercial building projects. We’re currently looking for an
Associate-level Mechanical Engineer
with a strong background in HVAC systems design and project leadership, particularly in
data center environments . This is a key role for someone who excels in both technical design and project management, with the ability to guide internal teams and engage confidently with clients throughout the project lifecycle. While the primary focus will be mission critical facilities, you'll also contribute to a range of high-performance commercial building projects. What You'll Be Doing:
Lead multidisciplinary design teams on both new-build and retrofit data center projects Define HVAC system requirements and coordinate seamlessly with plumbing, electrical, and fire protection disciplines Contribute to the development and refinement of internal design standards specific to mission critical and data center sectors Collaborate with in-house and external teams to deliver integrated, technically sound solutions Work closely with energy modeling specialists to balance carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and 24/7 operational reliability Offer technical input to commissioning efforts, both internal and third-party Represent the firm at conferences, industry panels, and sector-specific events Travel to project sites and client offices across the U.S. as needed What We're Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent professional experience) Minimum of
10 years
in facility design and construction Proven experience with HVAC design for data centers, backup power systems, and fuel oil infrastructure Familiarity with
Revit
and model-based coordination workflows Licensed
Professional Engineer (PE)
preferred Deep knowledge of mechanical systems such as chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, heat pumps, and generators Experience with energy modeling and analysis tools Understanding of water treatment and system flushing processes Strong foundation in
Building Automation and Control Systems Knowledge of
ASHRAE standards , particularly 90.1, 90.4, and TC 9.9 series (1–14)
