Responsibilities
The Product Specialist Group ("PSG") is part of Oaktree's Client Relations organization. It is responsible for:
Serving as representatives/spokespeople for Oaktree's strategies and products, explaining strategy positioning and investment theses;
Creating, refining, and managing content that effectively conveys strategies' investment approach, capabilities, and portfolio activity;
Responding to investor requests for information about current and prospective investments and meeting with clients/prospects for portfolio reviews;
Delivering marketing programming and thought leadership to raise awareness about Oaktree's offerings and platform capabilities;
Assessing and supporting the development of new product opportunities.
This role will focus on Oaktree's three real estate strategies: real estate opportunities, real estate debt, and real estate infrastructure. It will support these areas under the supervision of our real estate product specialists. The candidate will develop internal expertise regarding our strategies, focus areas, and portfolios. Key responsibilities include:
Product Marketing / Fundraising
Supporting the real estate Product Specialist and Investment teams in designing and creating fundraising content such as pitch books, presentations, market commentary, talking points, competitor analyses, and thought pieces; Assisting in the development or improvement of existing materials and staying informed on industry, asset class, and competitor trends; Ensuring compliance with industry advertising rules and assisting in creating compliant content (including collaborating with other departments); Managing projects related to new product launches or initiatives. Product Investor Relations / Client Servicing
Preparing standard and custom content for investor meetings, conferences, etc.; Supporting collateral, reporting, and website maintenance as needed; Improving data aggregation and reporting processes in partnership with relevant teams; Responding to product or strategy-specific inquiries under the guidance of Product Specialists; Preparing content for client conferences and other events; Supporting corporate communications and branding efforts for client events. Product Development
Collaborating with marketing, investment professionals, and stakeholders to research and propose new products, bespoke solutions, or distribution channels; Contributing to internal materials and analysis for new products; Researching competitive landscapes and case studies. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, asset management, or consulting; client-facing experience is a plus; Prior experience in real estate, especially debt, is preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively; Ability to interact with clients, professionals, and leadership; Understanding of macroeconomic, industry, and regulatory trends; Resourcefulness and sound judgment in handling investor requests; Knowledge of legal, accounting, compliance, and investment aspects of products; FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses or ability to obtain them promptly. $130,000 - $160,000 Assistant Vice President:
$155,000 - $200,000 Includes discretionary bonuses, benefits, and flexible work arrangements. Salary depends on experience and qualifications.
