The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) team is seeking an experienced individual with a strong background in software engineering and computer science to support the Applied AI team, focusing on the Cognitive Baseline portfolio. The team works on innovative projects to rapidly develop and deploy AI solutions across Lockheed Martin and for customers in the field. The role involves developing AI software products, engaging in all phases of the system development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing. Responsibilities include creating prototypes, demonstrators, and transitioning solutions to production. The candidate should have experience with object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and I/O systems. Mentorship and technical leadership are also expected. The position offers flexibility to work at any Lockheed Martin facility or remotely part-time. Qualifications
Experience with C++ and Python Experience with deep learning libraries like PyTorch or TensorFlow Experience with DevOps tools (Docker/Podman, Git, GitLab CI/CD) Secret clearance Desired Skills
Master's Degree in Engineering, CS, or related fields Experience with TDD, software orchestration, microservices, real-time embedded systems, hardware acceleration (CUDA, Intel oneAPI, SYCL), deployment stacks (NVIDIA TensorRT, Triton, OnnxRuntime), and AI system deployment in cloud/edge environments Experience leading small teams and transitioning prototypes to production Additional Information
