Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description – Procurement ManagerPosition SummaryThe Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency in the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services. This role ensures effective supplier management, contract negotiation, compliance with company policies, and alignment with operational and financial objectives. The Procurement Manager will lead procurement activities across direct and indirect categories, and may manage a team of buyers or sourcing specialists.Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies for all goods and services. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms, pricing, quality, and delivery schedules. Establish supplier selection criteria, conduct vendor evaluations, and manage ongoing supplier relationships. Monitor market trends, supply risks, and cost drivers to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks. Oversee purchase order processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance to ensure alignment with company goals. Track and report procurement KPIs, including cost savings, lead time reductions, and supplier performance. Ensure compliance with internal controls, legal requirements, and corporate sustainability policies. Manage procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation. Lead and mentor procurement staff, promoting continuous improvement and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus. 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management. Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost reduction initiatives. Background in manufacturing, electronics, or high-tech industries . Experience with MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement and construction-related purchasing activities is strongly . Skills & Competencies Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and procurement tools. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Knowledge of international trade, customs, and regulatory requirements (if applicable). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
