Financial Officers support the development and execution of financial objectives related to revenues, expenses, capital, and risk for their respective areas. This includes partnering across other functions and Finance disciplines. Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams are Finance partners to the functions and businesses they support. This Retail Services Financial Officer role will support the following responsibilities: Assisting the business / function in their efforts to establish and deliver financial objectives related to revenues, expenses, return on investment and capital Supporting short- and long-term budgeting, forecasting and planning processes through engagement with functional partners such as FP&A This role resides in the Citi Retail Services (CRS) Lead Financial Officer organization and will have responsibility for P&L management, strategic planning, investment decisioning and business development support for 13+ private label and cobranded retail partnership credit card portfolios. Key partners include Tractor Supply, Dillard's, Wayfair, Meijer, BrandSource, Goodyear, Shell. The professional will be engaged in contractual amendments, renewals and support exits where an optimal return profile is not achievable. The professional will be responsible for providing CRS LFO, USPB CFO, Retail Partners and Product Management with analysis and insights on portfolio financial performance in coordination with the broader FP&A Team. The overall objective is to contribute to directional strategy as well as utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to provide advice/counsel on portfolio performance. Responsibilities : Advising and partnering with Citi Retail Services Product Management leads and business execution leads, for financial business decisions and plans Developing and maintaining an understanding of the Citi Retail Services, their core mandate and strategic objectives Responsible for P&L Management and supporting various financial aspects of the Retail Services - Specialty Partners, including: Maintaining strong partnerships with Citi Retail Services Product Management heads and other functional partners to support and inform financial business decisions and plans Supporting product launches, portfolio acquisitions, and efforts to improve profitability through contract restructuring and portfolio exits; through financial modeling and scenario analysis. Financial modeling in support of investment decisioning, pricing optimization, partner contract renewals and business development efforts. Partnering with Product Management leads to assess potential corrective actions for variances to financial plans through detailed analysis to determine best course of action Providing financial reports and analytics to Retail Services Specialty Partner leads, including key financial metrics, results, trends and analysis Assisting in preparation of Quarterly Business Review materials with FP&A teams and other functional partners Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. Qualifications : 6-10 years of experience Knowledge of and / or experience working with Private Label and/or Cobranded Cards Financial management experience, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analytics and analysis Strong analytical and communication skills and proven ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders Education : Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred This role resides in the Citi Retail Services Lead Financial Officer organization and will have responsibility for P&L management, strategic planning, investment decisioning and business development support for 13+ private label and cobranded retail partnership credit card portfolios.
