POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager to join our Offering Management team in G&ES. This role will champion voice of customer, drive product roadmap, and translate complex ISO market structures into actionable

product features

for our

wholesale market bidding platform

across

CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, and ISO-NE .

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in

renewable energy , thrives in cross-functional settings, and excels at navigating the intersection of

engineering, business development, and market operations .

This position will be preferably based out of Santa Clara, Irvine or San Francisco office but could be a remote position. This position is expected to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

Act as a critical liaison between the Strategy/BD and Engineering teams to define the product roadmap, business case, and development timelines. Conduct in-depth research on ISO market rules, operations manuals, and compliance requirements, and translate them into well-scoped features and user stories. Maintain active relationships with ISO contacts to stay current on rule changes and manage access to ISO data streams and certificates. Identify, evaluate, and document key market data feeds needed for price forecasting and optimization. Own and manage JIRA and Advanced Roadmaps, maintaining initiatives, epics, and user stories for engineering delivery. Track regulatory updates and market design changes across ISOs; maintain an evolving product roadmap accordingly. Develop and nurture strategic partnerships for market access (e.g., QSEs), weather data, and telemetry integration. Lead creation of product documentation, including provisioning playbooks, demo scripts, user guides, training content, and benchmarking reports. Collaborate closely with technical leads & technical program managers to manage deliverables, resource planning, and timelines. Gather and share competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and design decisions. Contribute to the broader technical roadmap for building a best-in-class merchant optimization and bidding platform.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or related field. 5+ years of product management experience in the renewables or grid-tech space. Proven track record in delivering successful products for DERs, energy storage, or energy markets. Strong understanding of DER optimization, demand response, wholesale energy, and incentive programs. Experience with business case development and customer discovery. Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering teams on technical requirements and prioritization. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep knowledge of ISO markets: ERCOT, CAISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM. Working knowledge of Python and comfort with data analysis workflows. Proficiency in JIRA, Advanced Roadmaps, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with storage and renewable asset optimization strategies.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
