SUMMARY / OBJECTIVES This role involves developing new business through sales efforts in a SouthState metropolitan market. Manages a high-level loan and deposit portfolio, providing superior client service. Analyzes financial information to evaluate the creditworthiness of loan packages, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Sells and cross-sells additional banking products and services. Ensures all loans comply with State and Federal regulations and Bank policies. Success is measured by calling activity, proposal generation, revenue, risk mitigation, and relationship building both internally and externally. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Participates actively in a business development plan to grow the loan and deposit portfolio of commercial clients within a SouthState metro market. Develops consultative relationships with prospects and clients to add value through appropriate banking solutions. Manages loan and deposit requests to meet credit quality, responsiveness, structure, and pricing objectives. Collaborates with Treasury Management Sales Officers, Capital Markets, Wealth, and Retail teams. Underwrites loan requests within bank policies, ensuring accuracy before submission for approval. Manages and services the assigned loan portfolio. Maintains all required documentation for loans and deposits. Addresses documentation or compliance deficiencies noted during reviews. Partners with Credit to risk grade loans and updates risk grades as needed. Prices loans and deposits according to current bank guidelines, documenting any departures. Demonstrates commitment to fair lending practices. Stays informed of all applicable laws and regulations related to lending activities. Ensures compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulations. Resolves client issues and provides excellent service to existing clients. Builds and maintains positive relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and the community to enhance the bank's reputation. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking, or related field required. Graduation from a recognized school of banking is an asset. Experience:

5-10 years of commercial lending experience, including loan structuring and credit analysis. Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge of bank products, services, procedures, and practices; in-depth understanding of federal and state lending regulations; familiarity with the local business community is preferred. Skills:

Strong sales, interpersonal, and negotiating skills; excellent written and verbal communication; basic accounting and credit skills; detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize; proven analytical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Training Requirements / Classes Annual compliance training; New Employee Orientation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to interpret information on computer screens and documents; extensive time spent sitting or standing at a desk. WORK ENVIRONMENT Private office within a climate-controlled facility with access to break rooms and restrooms. TRAVEL This position may require occasional travel. Salary range in Colorado is expected to be between $99,000 and $158,000, based on skills, experience, and education.
