We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. The Executive Director will serve as the chief executive officer of New Directions Down Syndrome Association, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. This is a part-time position ideal for a passionate leader who is enthusiastic about advocacy, community-building, and driving strategic progress within the nonprofit sector. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Governance Serve as the public face and ambassador for the organization, representing its mission with passion and professionalism. Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to implement and refine the strategic plan to ensure long-term organizational sustainability. Maintain a strong, transparent relationship with the Board, providing regular updates on operations, opportunities, and challenges. Development & Fundraising Lead development and execution of fundraising initiatives, including annual campaigns, grant applications, donor cultivation, and special events. Strengthen existing donor relationships while identifying and engaging new funding sources to ensure financial health. Build strategic partnerships with community stakeholders, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic organizations. Programs & Operations Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, services, and educational initiatives in alignment with the organization's mission. Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and ethical standards in day-to-day operations. Manage administrative functions including budgeting, reporting, staffing (as applicable), and volunteer coordination. Community Engagement & Advocacy Foster strong relationships with families, self-advocates, professionals, and community members. Represent the organization at relevant community events, conferences, and collaborative forums. Promote awareness and inclusion through outreach efforts and public education initiatives.
