Job Title : Workday Solutions Architect Job Summary : Next Generation, Inc., an Equal-Opportunity Employer, is seeking a full-time, long-term Workday Solutions Architect. The Workday Solutions Architect is a senior-level professional responsible for the planning, design, quality assurance, and advisory aspects of Workday implementations throughout the solution lifecycle. The role involves working closely with HR functional consultants, IT Product Owners, business analysts, and technical consultants to understand stakeholder needs, translate them into configurations, and deliver solutions that meet expectations. The architect will also focus on strategic initiatives such as process improvement and architectural governance. The position requires expertise in implementing solutions, creating templates, and demonstrating software functionalities. This mostly remote role may require occasional travel to our Chicago office. Job Responsibilities : Review existing processes and collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to develop target operating models and high-level process designs. Design low-level solutions based on requirements, existing system environments, and high-level designs. Lead Workday solution design, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies, following project management and governance frameworks. Provide technical guidance, conduct design audits, and mentor team members. Gather and analyze requirements with business analysts and consultants, design solutions, and oversee testing phases. Review configurations, integrations, reports, dashboards, and workflows to ensure client specifications are met. Manage complex issues and risks, escalating as necessary. Communicate project updates effectively to clients, stakeholders, and managers. Stay current with Workday features and best practices, applying new knowledge to projects and researching emerging technologies. Support deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of Workday solutions, ensuring performance and user satisfaction. Mentor and train team members on Workday platform solutions and integrations. Participate in the sales process through system demonstrations and effort estimations. Job Qualifications : Bachelor's or higher degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Workday solution design and development across various modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Talent & Performance, and Advanced Compensation. Workday certifications in areas like Integration, Studio, Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Security, Prism Analytics, or Adaptive Planning. Strong knowledge of Workday architecture, configuration, customization, integration, reporting, and testing methodologies. Proficiency in Workday technologies such as XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, Web Services, and EIB. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused, with a passion for quality solutions. Understanding of Agile architecture service delivery. Job Benefits : Competitive salary range of approximately $110,000 - $140,000 USD based on experience and education.
