The Finance and Strategy Director supports the CFO and the senior leadership team in providing strategic financial analysis and modeling to inform operational and financial planning across time horizons. Reporting to the CFO, the Finance and Strategy Director develops and manages the tools, processes, and analysis to provide tactical and strategic insight into Oakmont’s financial statements and their underlying drivers. As needed the Finance and Strategy Director also helps to direct and organize strategic projects and key initiatives. Description

To build Oakmont’s processes and models for financial analysis, forecasting, planning, and reporting to reach a higher level of efficiency, accuracy, and insight, along with the ability to scale with the organization’s continued growth.

Essential Job Functions

Financial Analysis:

Perform comprehensive analysis of Oakmont finances in support of monthly financial reporting, quarterly board meetings, investor communication, and strategic projects and decisions. Utilize variance and ratio analysis to distill insights and identify key drivers and emerging trends. Direct ownership of medium- long term cash forecasting.

Financial Modeling : Build financial models to support operational and financial forecasting and to assess strategies for capital-efficient growth and balance sheet management.

Data Visualization : Create clear and impactful charts and visualizations to communicate findings to various stakeholders.

Strategic Collaboration : Provide financial analysis support and insights across departments, supporting data-driven decision-making and external reporting needs, such as for grant applications.

Strategic Projects : As needed supports strategic project execution, key initiative implementation, general management processes, and investor communications.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor's degree; MBA or masters in Finance preferred Seven to ten years of experience in FP&A, at a major accounting firm, in private equity or investment banking, or in management consulting. Strong financial analysis skills with deep experience with financial modeling in Excel Experience with FP&A platforms and tools (preferred). Experience with spend and expense automation (preferred). Ability to effectively communicate financial insights to leadership. Strong business acumen with ability to bridge operational and financial drivers. Proven ability to operate in a lean finance organization and mentor team members. Able to work in-person at Oakmont HQ in Akron, Ohio. Identification with the company’s mission and values.

KEY OBJECTIVES 2025 - 2026

Build a more robust model and process for forecasting the Oakmont P&L and balance sheet. Oversee the implementation of Datarails FP&A platform to increase the power and efficiency of financial reporting and analysis. Design, guide, and scale robust models and tools to assess the cash flow impacts of growth decisions. Manage the implementation of Ramp spend and expense management and automation platform throughout the organization. Manage the budget creation process to increase the consistent incorporation of operational assumptions and leverage the rich budget insights from the newly implemented spend and expense automation platform.
