About The Team Business Technology (BT) at Workday aims to deliver value to our partners and customers. The Program and Business Operations team works with stakeholders to define, align, and implement strategic programs and operations, standardizing methodologies, tools, and metrics across BT for a unified experience. About The Role The PMO Director will lead the transformation and optimization of program management within our Business Technology (IT) organization. This includes standardizing program governance, overseeing the IT program portfolio, and developing a high-performing team of program managers. You will establish and promote standardized processes, ensure stakeholder alignment, and foster strong partnerships with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence. Responsibilities
Drive the execution of strategic initiatives across Business Technology. Ensure successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives to support Workday’s growth. Partner with CIO leadership to deliver Product and Project portfolios. Lead teams to deliver strategic priorities and mature program management methodologies. Define success metrics, build scorecards, and enable operational excellence. Promote Agile adoption and measure its effectiveness. Create communication mechanisms for leadership alignment. Build a Community of Practice for Program and Project Managers. Qualifications
15+ years of project/program management experience, including major projects. Experience in project planning, process development, and execution. Proven experience leading large programs with Agile teams. 7+ years in leadership and mentoring roles. Strong communication skills and ability to lead senior meetings. Knowledge of industry methodologies and process improvements. Experience in performance measurement and governance. Additional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to navigate ambiguity and perform under pressure. Compensation & Benefits Base salary ranges are listed by location, with potential bonuses and stock grants. Compensation depends on various factors including location, experience, and skills.
