Connsci Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features. Connsci is seeking a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert who will provide Risk Management Framework (RMF), FISMA compliance, and ATO support across military enclaves and geographically separated units.
In This Role You Can Expect To
Serve as a lead technical advisor on cybersecurity compliance for enterprise networks (NIPR and SIPR). Prepare RMF artifacts including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms). Support the development, validation, and submission of ATO packages via eMASS and coordinate with AO/ISSMs throughout the RMF lifecycle. Mentor base-level IT and cybersecurity personnel to support self-sufficiency and readiness for cyber inspections (CCORI, CRR-M). Evaluate and validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for assets, ensuring proper documentation and mitigation of findings. Track and report progress of cybersecurity compliance using systems such as SNAP, GIAP, and ITIPS. Contribute to the development of cybersecurity SOPs, governance documents, and inspection preparation plans.
Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI security clearance per federal stipulation At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity compliance, information assurance, or RMF consulting within Department of Defense environments Demonstrated experience with RMF, FISMA, and ATO package development DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (CISSP, CASP+, CISA, or equivalent) Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls and STIG implementation
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field Experience with Air Force systems such as eMASS, SNAP, GIAP, ITIPS Familiarity with cyber governance structure and INDOPACOM mission context Experience supporting CRR-M and CCORI assessments in operational environments
Travel Requirement:
This position will require up to 40% travel across the Indo-Pacific region (Japan, Korea, Alaska, Guam, Diego Garcia)
