This role drives the implementation of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning architecture, utilizing various AI and ML technologies and methods to address client business problems and needs, while aligning with the company's strategies and goals.
In Vanguard's Global Investment Financial Systems department (GIFS), we are hiring a
Sr AI/ML Data Architect
to help us build systems that better support our investment and finance businesses. Core Responsibilities: Assess business requirements and design the architecture of AI/ML solutions to meet these needs, collaborating with internal and external clients and partners. Develop deployment plans for scalable and secure AI platforms, applications, and systems across various cloud infrastructures and devices. Specify architecture and document technical configurations for users, resolving deployment issues. Build trusted advisory relationships and serve as a SME for AI/ML products and services in specific verticals, staying current on latest technologies. Apply moderately complex machine learning algorithms, such as regression models, into organizational practices. Analyze business data using ML techniques to identify opportunities for development and process improvements. Conduct A/B testing on statistical models and ML algorithms. Continuously optimize models for best performance. Validate business problems and ensure appropriate AI tools are utilized. Prototype AI models and evaluate their effectiveness in addressing business challenges. Perform code reviews, optimize algorithms, and conduct experiments to ensure AI solution performance. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred. Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience, including at least three years as a technology architect. Experience in AI/ML model development and deployment. Knowledge of GenAI architecture and application deployment. Experience with AWS, MLOps, GenAI Ops, and LLMOps. Strong system architecture skills, focusing on scalable, high-performing, and cost-effective AI systems. Special Factors Sponsorship Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
