nSUMMARY OF POSITION:
nWe are seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Family Practice. This role combines clinical and administrative duties, such as assisting with healthcare services and procedures, collecting and preparing specimens for routine lab tests, coordinating patient flow and appointment scheduling, managing phone messages, and supporting overall clinic operations.
nThis is a great opportunity for professional growth! The role offers potential leadership development, including becoming a preceptor trainer for new medical assistant orientation and contributing to the instruction of medical assistant students.

nMINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program

Previous outpatient experience preferred.
