* 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
* 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. - Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.
MaineHealth Cancer Care and IV Therapy - Brunswick | MaineHealth has an immediate need for a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our care team. As a valued member of our care team, the Medical Assistant helps providers deliver exceptional care to patients while keeping the office running smoothly. From offering a warm welcome to providing hands-on clinical support, you'll play a key role in creating a calm, supportive environment where patients feel at ease. Certified MAs bring their skills, compassion, and professionalism to ensure every patient receives the highest quality care, in line with our policies and standards.
At MH Cancer Care Brunswick, we provide comprehensive, compassionate care, offering exceptional treatment and unwavering support to patients throughout their cancer journey and hematologic care. As part of our rapidly growing network, we bring together a skilled team of oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice providers,nurses, medical assistants, and support staff, all working collaboratively to deliver personalized care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Whether seeking prevention, treatment, post-care services, or hematologic care, we are here to help patients navigate their care with expertise, compassion, and dedication.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
- License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
- Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required.
