This role is essential to ensuring smooth communication, efficient scheduling, and compassionate client service during our critical after-hours shifts.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
- Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and gather detailed medical history
- Check in emergency and urgent care cases with compassion and efficiency
- Communicate clearly with veterinarians and technicians about incoming patients
- Process invoices and payments accurately
- Handle prescription and food requests per doctor instructions
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Contribute to a clean, calm, and well-organized front desk
- Support a collaborative, team-based hospital culture
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical receptionist role is a plus
- Comfortable working evening hours and supporting emergency care teams
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Proficiency with computer systems and veterinary software (or willingness to learn)
