Job Summary:
nResponsibilities include but not limited to: patient check in and check out, rooming/screening patients, taking vitals, and reviewing medication lists for patients. Obtaining insurance authorizations and working the incoming/outgoing referral workque. Chart prep; obtaining medical records, images, pfts, etc. Answering phones/taking messages, monitor incoming/outgoing faxes. Scheduling/rescheduling patient appointments and filling/maintaining provider schedules. Maintaining recall and no show worklists, and other offices duties as assigned.
nMinimum Qualifications:
nCompletion of an approved Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program or one year experience directly related to the medical field; Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
