nWe are seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will inspect residential and commercial buildings for signs of pest infestation, advise owners on treatment options, and provide pest control solutions. nEssential Duties and Responsibilities
nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
nAbility to solve and communicate effectively with customers, office and managers
nMUST complete work orders notes after completing each service
nReview and follow instructions for pest treatment based on service orders and or contracts
nPerform pest control treatments at homes and commercial structures according to service standards
nApply treatment at specified level according to label requirements
nAdhere to all safety procedures
nDocumenting all work performed and provide information to service/office accurately and consistently
nEnsure work is performed in conjunction with established policies and procedures to provide consistent and quality service for each customer
nReviewing and complete various documents such as completed work orders and timesheets
nProperly maintain service equipment and assigned vehicle
nMaintain up-to-date state licensing
nMust be able to drive
nMust be able to read and write
nAttend required meetings
nPerforming other work-related duties as assigned
nMust Arrive to scheduled jobs on time
nMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
nMust be able to maintain State Driver’s License – Class C (minimum)
nMust maintain a clean and acceptable driving record for both the company and insurance company
nHigh School diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
nIndustry or service industry experience preferred but not required.
nMust have or be able to pass the State Required licensing exam with 90 days of hire
nMust be able to work outside
nAbility to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
nAbility to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
nAbility to carry, lift and move chemical solutions and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds
nAble to work in cramped and inconvenient surrounds requiring manipulation of equipment in sometimes awkward positions for prolonged periods of time
nUse/climb of various types of ladders ranging from three (3’) to thirty-two feet (32’)
nAbility to climb and balance up to 50 pounds while on a ladder
nAbility to use equipment and tools properly and safely
nStrong communication skills as well as customer relationship skills
nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, policies, documents and regulations
nAbility to write reports or the use of technology to record work performed
nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
nAbility to work in areas that are known to have pest such as spiders, bedbugs, cockroaches, bees, fleas, live or dead animals (this list is not all inclusive)
nPhysical Demands and Work Environment
nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee vision must allow for close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee may be required to crawl in small, hot or cold areas. The employee is required maintain balance, climb and sit for short and extended periods of time. Must be able to wear or utilized required safety equipment. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Excellent stamina is required. Discomfort may be experienced while wearing protective clothing, respirators, goggles, or face masks for extended periods of time. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
