Position Highlights Department: Physical Rehabilitation

Hours: Full-Time/40 hours

Shift: Days, 1st Shift

Location(s): Madison, CT and Essex, CT

Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Supervisor (PT or OT) organizes, implements, directs and monitors the activities in the department. Provides leadership and vision to ensure optimal delivery of services. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for planning, budgeting and goal setting to achieve productivity and financial targets

Effectively manages all day to day activities including staff orientation, training, scheduling, performance review and providing leadership to the staff in the utilization and development of resources both clinical and non clinical

Actively markets and integrates the services into the community and its health care delivery system

Completes, monitors and reports all quality improvement activities, clinical performance improvement and staff education programs.

Demonstrates effective skills in modifying staff behavior, developing staff and facilitating agency goal achievement.

Demonstrates flexibility, reliability and poise in dealing with change, with delays and with changing work demands.

Keeps abreast of current trends in rehabilitation through continuing education, networking and professional literature review.

Responsible for special projects assigned by the Administrative Director in the areas of program development, injury prevention, technical development and inpatient services

Meets the requirements of a Staff Therapist

All other job related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an Approved School of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology.

Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in the State of Connecticut.

A minimum of three years of progressive management experience.

Self-motivated Clinician with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills: Experience with electronic medical charting

3-5 years clinical experience

Flexibility with scheduling

Organized
