30.00 per week Position Summary The Parenting Support Services Program is a service for families with children 0-16 that supports and enhances positive family functioning. Families receive one or both of the PSS interventions, Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and Circle of Security Parenting, along with some case management. The Parent Educator will work collaboratively with families and community partners to ensure that the program supports parents/guardians in addressing family needs and setting and achieving family goals. The function of the PSS program is to help parents become resourceful problem solvers and be able to create a positive and safe home learning environment for children to develop emotional, behavior, and cognitive strengths. It also will help build, support, and strengthen parents relationship capabilities so they are better equipped to provide a quality of relationship that is more supportive of secure attachment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Participates in direct care to assess needs and coordinate services

Maintains daily/weekly scheduled appointments in electronic records systems

Carries average caseload of 10-12 families

Conduct home visits using evidence-based model to improve parental capacity, skill,development, and competence of caregivers

Provide case management to help families identify and meet their basic needs

Facilitate parent education groups

Complete referrals for needed resources and services in the community.

Conduct ongoing assessment of family strengths, needs, and resources

Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including external partners

Completes required documentation and paperwork including progress notes and treatment planning in a timely manner

Consult with supervisor as needed and to avoid crises

Engage in regular, reflective supervision and technical assistance with the goal of professional growth

Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in education, family development, social work or related field

Valid driver's license a must for in home services

Must have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organized

Must be able to work as a part of a team

Able to work flexible hours, some evenings required

Preferred Qualifications Previous experience providing direct patient care is desirable, in-home a plus

Knowledge of infant/early childhood development and mental health

Knowledge in working with LGBTQ+

Trained in Triple P/Circle of Security curriculum
