Job Summary
This is a continuous recruitment for an application pool to fill part -time, adjunct assignments on an as-needed basis. Applications are accepted year-round and will remain in the pool.
Augment student learning, reinforce curriculum, and aid faculty by providing clinical perspective and integration of practical skills within the lab environment. Provide classroom and laboratory support for both the DPT Program Oregon.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
1. Demonstrated Knowledge of contemporary physical therapy practice.
2. Experience in the area in which courses will be taught.
3. Knowledge of content in the area of assigned instruction.
4. Ability to communicate effectively in large and small groups as well as one-on-one.
5. Ability to accurately examine the knowledge and clinical skills attained by the students.
6. Ablity to communicate professionally and effectively.
Required Qualifications
Qualification Standards
1. Education: An entry-level doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
2. Experience: Documented training/experience in content area of instruction. Previous experience lab assistant/teaching in content area preferred.
3. Licensure: As required. Oregon State PT license.
4. Preferences: Board Certified Clinical Specialization and/or academic doctorates.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lab Assistant
a. Assisting the professor of record with instruction and supervision of students during labs.
b. Reinforce curriculum presented by faculty by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups.
c. Assist faculty with laboratory assessment activities such as lab competencies and lab practicum. (practicals & check offs)
d. Provide the highest quality of clinical supervision.
e. Maintain and promote high standards of intellectual integrity.
f. Working cooperatively with other members of the faculty and staff in an effort to contribute to overall institutional effectiveness.
g. Performing other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities
2. Communication
a. Interact professionally within the department, College and University with all levels of administration and support staff, from level of President to Security Guard.
b. Be timely and accurate in all communications.

3. Clinical Practice of Physical Therapy/Professional Development
a. Maintain contemporary skill levels and acknowledge by clinical practice or continuing education.

4. Align to CAHP expectations and maintain compliance with CAPTE standards, policies and
