Position Description: Patient Care Technician

Positions details:

· Location: Morton Plant Hospital Campus - 300-400 Pinellas Street, Clearwater, FL

n

· Preop Surgical

n

·PACU - Morton Plant Hosptial or Mease Countryside Hosptial

n

· Status: Full time, Monday through Friday only, No weekends.

n

· Day Shifts Only:

n

· Pre-op Surgical 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

n

· PACU - 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM - Part time - Morton Plant Hospital

n

· 40 hours per week, may vary slightly

n

· Status: Part time, Monday through Friday only, No weekends.

n

Or,

n

·PACU - Morton Plant Hospital campus - Part time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 7:30 P.M.

n

·20 hours per week, may vary slightly

Qualifications:

n

Required Experience:

n

n
• n

  6 months - Acute Care/Hospital, PCT or CNA work experience, or

  n
n
• n

  1 year - Skilled Nursing Facility, work experience as Licensed CNA

  n
n

n

Required Certification:

n

n
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network)
n

n

Preferred:

n

n
• 1 year - Hospital PCT or CNA work experience
n

n

The Patient Care Technician - responsibilities and skills:

n

Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN for patients in either a:

n

· Pre-op or post-op surgical team, or

n

· Radiation therapy team, or

n

· Outpatient infusion team

n
