What You'll Do
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will work in our Medical-Surgery department and report directly to the Med Surg Director. They will do their best to keep patients comfortable on the road to recovery in a positive environment and assist nursing teams to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. The ideal candidate executes duties with a willingness to help others who are in need. Daily responsibilities will be to deliver direct care to patients and includes, but not limited to, the below items.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will work in our Medical-Surgery department and report directly to the Med Surg Director. They will do their best to keep patients comfortable on the road to recovery in a positive environment and assist nursing teams to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. The ideal candidate executes duties with a willingness to help others who are in need. Daily responsibilities will be to deliver direct care to patients and includes, but not limited to, the below items.
- Assesses needs, ensures proper follow up care and supports nursing team in completion of tasks.
- Performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating.
- Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
- Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed.
- Documents patient interactions as needed.
- Participates in frequent interaction with patients regarding all levels of concerns and questions.
- Responds to call patient call lights.
- Additional duties include but are not limited to assisting in all aspects of medical practice under the supervision of a medical provider.
- Observes and abides by the policies and procedures of Grand River Hospital District.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant License in the State of Colorado required.
- Completion of Medical Terminology course preferred.
- Must have current BLS card upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years' experience in patient care.
- $17.50 - $26.57 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range
- Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
- Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
