Job Title: Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Job Summary:

The PCT will assist nurses and other medical professionals by providing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting).
- Take and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff promptly.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as blood draws, EKGs, and catheter care under supervision.
- Help patients with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed.
- Ensure patient rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Document care and services provided in patient records.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician program preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification (required or must be obtained within a set period).
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Hospital, clinic, or long-term care facility.
- May require long periods of standing or walking.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
