Contract - Infrastructure Architect
to join their team in Las Vegas ,
NV. This is an onsiterole. This role is to bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions while creating architecture design and implementation plans. The primary focus is Systems and Infrastructure.
Successful candidates excel at and enjoy: Lead the evaluation, design, and integration of software, systems, storage, networks, and security solutions aligned with organizational standards. Conduct product reviews and technology research to recommend evolving solutions to senior IT leadership. Ensure enterprise IT architecture supports reliability, performance, interoperability, and compliance. Develop and enforce design principles, policies, and infrastructure configuration standards. Produce design documentation and white papers to justify architecture decisions. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for complex technical issues. Stay current with industry developments and incorporate best practices. Collaborate cross-functionality to align technology with business goals. Maintain consistent attendance and adhere to safety standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Must-Have Qualifications:
Minimum 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US. Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience. Ability to obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any required certifications or licenses. Job Requirements
Your previous experience includes:
Networking:
LAN routing, switching. WAN technologies. Traffic engineering and policy control. Border security architecture design and support in complex enterprises. Security appliance technologies including IDS/IPS, firewall, proxy, SEIM, NAC, SSLVPN, Next-Gen Firewall, web Filtering Proxy, Packet Brokering. Systems:
Microsoft Server OS, AD, Group policy, and enterprise operation systems. Virtualization architecture with VMware or similar platforms, Nutanix experience a plus. Enterprise storage integration and tuning (3Par, Hitachi, EMC, etc.) Hands-on with Cisco UCS, EMC, Data Domain, ubuntu, Red Hat, F5, DHCP, PKI infrastructure, certificates, Saas, and LasS, Cloud solutions. Application Architecture & Solution Design:
Microsoft frameworks: SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Web API. Web services (SOAP, RESTful) object-oriented design, CMS integration, web app security. Cloud integration with PaaS and SaaS platforms. Other:
Experience in highly regulated environments (MICS, PCI, SOX). Training and experience with ITSM practices. Knowledge of architectural principles, UML modeling, and business process modeling. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse teams and guests. Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Hourly Range: $50-55.00
