Primary Function: Responsible for overseeing and maintaining all aspects of project safety. Ensure compliance with M. B. Kahn safety standards and OSHA regulations across multiple jobsites.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of the project specific safety program(s) and implement the Corporate Safety Program Standards as outlined in the Safety Manual. Rotate between multiple jobsites to provide consistent safety leadership. Work with the project team to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved with the following expectations: No OSHA citations Zero accidents Employees are well-educated in safety practices and have all the necessary resources to work safely Clear communication of safety policies through safety bulletins, safety posters, rules, etc. Conduct new-hire safety orientations. Assist Superintendent with conducting regular safety meetings with the project team and subcontractors. Review subcontractor safety programs and ensure that they meet or exceed the M. B. Kahn Safety Program requirements Ensure that subcontractors are conducting training in compliance with OSHA Standards and if necessary facilitate supplemental training as needed. Conduct daily jobsite and work area inspections; document reports and notify subcontractors of any violations or unsafe practices. Exercise authority to immediately stop any violation or unsafe practice. Investigate all accidents/incidents, generate proper reports and immediately notify the Corporate Safety team of any such accident/incident. Ensure compliance with hazard communication regulations and ensure SDS catalogs are immediately available, complete and up to date. Promote integrity, honesty, hard work, safety, and quality throughout all aspects of the project and professionally represent M. B. Kahn. Perform additional assignments as directed by management or as required for successful project completion.

Required Skills/Abilities: Minimum of 5 years' of field and safety experience. Construction OSHA 30 certification. Extensive knowledge of safety and health standards, rules, regulations, and proficiency in applying them to projects. Working knowledge of safe work practices and experience in conducting accident investigations and OSHA standards. Ability to assume responsibility and communicate with others. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
